The Benefits of Essential Oils, Pt. 1

The Benefits of Essential Oils, Pt. 1

Do you love the many different soap scents that we offer? Do you ever wonder how we get such concentrated fragrant scents infused into our goat milk soap products? Well, we're glad you asked!

One of our favorite ingredients used in our goat milk soap is essential oils. Essential oils are a concentrated liquid that contain aroma compounds from plants. They are generally extracted by distillation, often by using steam and have been used for centuries. These oils are used in a range of different ways and products from perfumes, cosmetics, soaps, and other beauty products to flavoring food and drinks, to simply adding all-natural scent to household cleaning products. They also have incredible medicinal uses and are pure, all-natural, clean, and fresh.

We use about 15 different essential oils in our soaps and are constantly experimenting with more. Today, we're sharing five of the essential oils we use at Bend Soap Company and explaining the therapeutic benefits they can provide you with.

#1: Spearmint

Besides the refreshing, minty scent, when inhaled, spearmint has a calming and relaxing effect. It also helps with indigestion, Eucalyptus Spearmint Goat Milk Soapheadache, and nausea and has been said to soothe minor aches and pains. Spearmint oil contains menthol which is refreshing for the skin as it creates a cooling sensation. This often helps with muscle relaxation. Furthermore, it nourishes dull skin and improves the texture of oily skin. It's such a refreshing and invigorating oil, and we're pleased to offer this natural oil in our products.

Dear sirs,
I bought many soaps a couple of years ago. My husband really liked them. Will buy more soon.

A moment ago I asked you about a jamine fragrance soap, but my husband reminded me it was gardenia! Sorry for the mix-up…but I’m trying several of your other fragrances, especially the piney one for him, and honey oatmeal for me!

Some years ago a cousin of yours sent me a selection of your goat milk soaps. I loved them all; I had never used such a wonderful product, but especially one that was jasmine fragrance. Do you still make that?

If not, I intend to try one of your other soaps, maybe the unscented.

Thanks!
