Bend Soap Company Celebrates 5 Years!
This September, we celebrated our 5 Year Anniversary with an Open Farm event here in Bend, Oregon. Hundreds of loyal customers, neighbors, and passers-by stopped to participate in the event. Local KTVZ NewsChannel 21 covered the story.
It was a beautiful, almost-Fall day in Central Oregon for the celebration that was complete with hay bales and the first pumpkins of the season. Banners were hung, canopies and tables set out and loaded, and signs were put out by the road so passers-by and neighbors could join us in celebrating the much-anticipated event.
When friends of Bend Soap Company first arrived, they were greeted by members of the Johnson family. Each attendee received a ticket for drawings and a FREE travel-size bar of Goat Milk Soap.
Large collage posters displayed the 5-year history of the company showing where things began and just how far things have come. A variety of the newly branded products were on display as well, highlighting our new logo.
There was fun for the whole family, including a kid-zone where children could feed and pet some of the dairy goats. If you were really adventurous, you could enter a drawing to win your very own pet goat. A sweet little doe was raffled off during the event.
The family/kid zone also included a bean bag toss game where Dads, Moms, and children of all ages competed with each other.
Winners of the frequent drawings took home t-shirts, bags full of sample bars, and even sample a few of our soon-to-be-launched products.
Guests also got the GRAND TOUR of the soap house with educational information about how soap is made, what ingredients we use (and don't use!), what countries we ship to, and how the products have been helping people around the world.
But Who Won the Goat??
Esther won the goat while her family was visiting Bend, Oregon on vacation. Congratulations, Esther! It looks like you will be a fine friend for our little doe... Enjoy!
Thank you for celebrating with us! We are excited to journey through the NEXT years with you!
