The Benefits of Essential Oils, Pt. 1

The Benefits of Essential Oils, Pt. 1

Do you love the many different soap scents that we offer? Do you ever wonder how we get such concentrated fragrant scents infused into our goat milk soap products? Well, we're glad you asked!

One of our favorite ingredients used in our goat milk soap is essential oils. Essential oils are a concentrated liquid that contain aroma compounds from plants. They are generally extracted by distillation, often by using steam and have been used for centuries. These oils are used in a range of different ways and products from perfumes, cosmetics, soaps, and other beauty products to flavoring food and drinks, to simply adding all-natural scent to household cleaning products. They also have incredible medicinal uses and are pure, all-natural, clean, and fresh.

We use about 15 different essential oils in our soaps and are constantly experimenting with more. Today, we're sharing five of the essential oils we use at Bend Soap Company and explaining the therapeutic benefits they can provide you with.

#1: Spearmint

Besides the refreshing, minty scent, when inhaled, spearmint has a calming and relaxing effect. It also helps with indigestion, Eucalyptus Spearmint Goat Milk Soapheadache, and nausea and has been said to soothe minor aches and pains. Spearmint oil contains menthol which is refreshing for the skin as it creates a cooling sensation. This often helps with muscle relaxation. Furthermore, it nourishes dull skin and improves the texture of oily skin. It's such a refreshing and invigorating oil, and we're pleased to offer this natural oil in our products.

You can find this essential oil in the following products:

#2: Grapefruit

What a wonderful, bright essential oil. This is such a refreshing and nutrient-rich addition to our soaps. Grapefruit essential oil has been known to cure depression and relieve stress when inhaled. It is also particularly good for treating oily skin and acne, and it provides a refreshing feeling. It can be beneficial for treating stiffness and cramps in the muscles, as well. We're constantly looking for more reasons to use this fabulous oil in our products.

It’s good to know that orange essential oil can reduce inflammation and help with muscle spasms. My sister was telling me she wants to get more into essential oil soaps to help her skin feel fresh. She should find ones that are a good blend and organic. http://purelivingessentials.com/thieves

We’ve ordered from your family business now a couple of times and need to know what essential oil brand or brands are you using when making your soaps? I’ve seen previous questions you are claiming them to be 100% pure natural but without knowing the exact brand it still leaves an open question. If you could please share with us the company you choose to support and believe the oils are pure with no chemicals or additives, we’d greatly appreciate this information. Like you, my family is very ingredient cautious and we only will continue to use the best and support the best.
