No. Our tallow is deodorized and has no animal smell. Our unscented tallow products have a clean, neutral scent that is barely detectable.

Why are you using beef tallow? I thought you were a goat milk company.

We are! Tallow is a natural extension of our
whole-ingredient philosophy. Goat milk soap is still our hero, and tallow products support it. Tallow has been used for centuries, and its fatty acids are uniquely compatible with human skin.

Is this safe for my face?

Yes, these are actually our most face-friendly product. Tallow fully absorbs without clogging pores.

Is this safe for sensitive skin/eczema?

Yes. The Unscented version contains zero fragrance or essential oils and is most friendly for sensitive or eczema-prone skin. Calendula and chamomile were specifically chosen to calm and soothe sensitive, reactive skin.

How does Whipped Tallow compare to your lotion?

The Whipped Tallow is richer and more concentrated than our lotion. It is ideal for dry, tight, or very sensitive skin. Our lotion
is lighter and better for daily all-over use. Many customers will love both for different needs.

My tallow arrived melted/liquified. Is it ruined?

Not at all! Tallow is a natural fat that softens and melts in warm temperatures, just like coconut oil or butter. The product is
completely fine. Simply place the jar in the refrigerator for 30–60 minutes, then bring it back to room temperature. It will re-solidify. The texture may be slightly different than when it first shipped – it may be a bit denser or creamier – but the product is just as pure and effective. Going forward, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

What is the deodorizing process?

Our tallow is deodorized using steam distillation, a completely chemical-free process. Here’s how it works: pure steam is passed through the rendered tallow at a controlled temperature. The steam gently
carries away the volatile compounds responsible for the beefy aroma, leaving
behind clean, nearly odorless fat. No solvents, bleaches, or synthetic chemicals are used at any point. The result is a nearly white tallow with only the faintest neutral scent, pure enough for skincare and gentle enough for sensitive skin.
